Case Study Studio Due - St Michael's Mount (England)

Saint Michael’s Mount brought to life in striking colour by Studio Due 

Lying off the coast of Marazion in Cornwall England is the iconic St Michael’s Mount. The stunning and iconic castle perched on top of the island is accessible from the mainland by tidal causeway and is home to both some of the most stunning British weather but also the fiercest elements. Studio Due Luminaires with a marinized specification were selected to re-light the castle to add color control for special occasions and events and ensure its visibility for miles around the Cornish coastline. Lighting was designed by Elgan Howells on behalf of light art and architectural lighting company Luminism which is part of the Yes Event Group, a long term supporter and stockist of the Studio Due brand of products. Fittings were carefully selected and configured with a range of specific secondary optics to achieve the best possible results as installation was only possible in the same locations as historic equipment.
